Welcome to our website

We hope that by finding out a little more about us, you will feel that you want to come and join us at Emmanuel for one of our worship times, special events, or to use the village minibus.

At Emmanuel Church (URC) Normandy, we seek to worship God the Father and God the Son by the power of God the Holy Spirit. We hold to the Bible as the Word of God, recognising our great need of the Holy Spirit to speak that Word to us and hold us true to it.

Many who have visited us in the past have commented on the warm welcome they have received and the special atmosphere of acceptance and friendliness that pervades our church.

Emmanuel URC is based in Normandy, just outside Guildford. Through worship, fellowship and service, we try to give practical expression to our Christian faith.

If you are local and would like a lift to the church, please ring Clive or Lyn on 01483 810560.

Normandy Prayer Tree

‘There is a very special tree where you can come and pray,

And leave your prayers on the branches, and on Him your burdens lay.

Your hopes, your fears, your prayers for loved ones too,

We will take your prayers and pray a prayer for you.’

The Normandy Prayer Tree has been part of the vision for the church and its interaction with the community.

We have planted a 60 year old Olive Tree in the grounds of the Church, just off the Car Park Area.

Everyone is welcome to come and use the tree for prayer – for themselves, family, friends or for particular needs.

There is card, pens and plastic wallets available next to the tree in a little house to write your prayer requests on and then hang them on the tree.

Emmanuel Church will then collect the prayers and commit to praying for each one for a month.

Our premises have access and facilities for the disabled as well as specially adapted transport.
